The students from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Fine Arts showcased their works in the graduation exhibition.

The Graduation Exhibition, displaying the qualified works created by students who will graduate from the Departments of Visual Communication Design and Graphics at OMU Fine Arts Faculty, was held.

OMÜ Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Recep Sancak, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Ali Seylan, Head of Graphics Department Prof. Dr. Ali Tomak, lecturers, students, and guests attended the opening of the exhibition, which was open to all art lovers.

Speaking at the opening, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Recep Sancak congratulated the students for their efforts in organizing the exhibition. Prof. Dr. Sancak said, “You belong to a different generation. Unfortunately, you were caught in the middle of a once-in-a-century outbreak. Although you had to carry out your educational activities through distance learning, we believe that you are well-trained and will continue to develop yourself in the best way possible.”

Mehmet Hakan, Res.Asst. at the Department of Graphics said, “Students displayed products in a variety of fields, including packaging design, 3D models, stand designs, and corporate identity. In fact, despite being from various disciplines, the students demonstrated competent work.”

Yasemin Yorulmaz, a senior student at the Department of Visual Communication, said, “We present examples of our work from the past four years in the graduation exhibition. I created an infographic work and then modelled the building on top of it in 3D, so there are two works together in here. Actually, manipulation is very popular in design, and I enjoy using it in my designs. More specifically, I enjoy creating utopian works, such as designing a package. To be innovative, you must first create something and then design it. Aside from that, I enjoy 3D modelling. When designing Samsun Metropolitan Municipality's historical building, there were many details to consider, but it was a rewarding experience."

The exhibition, which opened on June 20, was on display at the Faculty of Fine Arts until June 24.
