Spirit of unity and sharing highlighted at OMU Ramadan iftar program

A mass iftar program organized by Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) to share the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan was held with strong participation.

The gathering, held at the OMU Life Center, was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ayşe Pınar Sumer, Prof. Dr. Alper Kesten, and Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, as well as Secretary General Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, along with faculty deans, academics, administrative staff, and a large number of students.

The event began with a Sufi music performance and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a Karagöz–Hacivat shadow play after the iftar meal. In the latter part of the program, participants shared the spiritual atmosphere of the Ramadan evening through conversation and refreshments.

Students attending the iftar stated that experiencing the spirit of unity and sharing during Ramadan within the university environment was meaningful for them and expressed their satisfaction with the organization.

The event, organized under the coordination of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, concluded in a warm and sincere atmosphere reflecting the solidarity and brotherhood of the month of Ramadan.
