Summer School for Turkish Language started with the cooperation of Ondokuz Mayıs University and Yunus Emre Institute.

Yunus Emre Institute teaches Turkish to thousands of people in five continents every year. Foreign students learning Turkish through the Institute will come to Turkey within the scope of the Summer School for Turkish Language program, and they will combine Turkish language with the culture of Anatolia. The closure of the program will be held at the Beştepe Presidential Complex.

The group of 40 people chosen among the students of Yunus Emre Institute who came from different countries and got a chance to recognize Turkish culture on the spot started their training in OMU-TURKÇE. The administrators and the teachers of OMU-TURKÇE welcomed the guests and they gave the students a tour in historical and touristic areas of Samsun.

700 goodwill ambassadors from 57 countries are in Turkey

The students who have successfully completed the foreign language courses of Yunus Emre Institute and the foreign students studying in Turcology departments of foreign universities came to Turkey within the scope of the program "Summer School for Turkish Language". 700 students from 57 countries and trainees will take Turkish language courses and they will visit many historical, geographical and cultural places during one month. They will participate in cultural courses such as ebony, pottery, food, bonding, folk dances.

Magnificent closure ceremony at the presidential complex

Yunus Emre Institute's program "Summer School for Turkish Language", which will be held for 8th time this year, will take place in 22 different cities of Turkey. Students will be hosted by 23 universities; they will receive education on Turkish language in Erzurum, Rize, Balikesir, Çanakkale, Sivas, Istanbul, Afyon, Isparta, Sakarya, Karabük, Eskişehir, Kütahya, Bursa, Bolu, Ankara, Giresun, Samsun, Karaman, Konya, and they will participate in the trips. The closure of the program will be held by the Presidency. Students who have successfully completed the program will give a message of peace to the world with Yunus Emre's language.

Prof. Şeref Ateş, the President of Yunus Emre Institute, stated that they served in a total of 135 points in 60 countries. Şeref Ates said that the societies of the world aimed to recognize Turkey more closely and from the right sources, and that the Summer School for Turkish language was one of the important programs for the realization of this purpose.

Cultural ambassadors introduce Turkey through social media

The participants of the Summer School for Turkish Language compete with each other in the social media to share their experiences about Turkish culture, art, history and language and to promote the natural, historical and cultural beauties of Turkey. The contest in which Turkey will be introduced from the perspectives of the students is held in the categories of text, photo and video works. Participants from many countries such as Egypt, Austria, Algeria and Kosovo will share their observations via social media accounts with #RotamTürkiye hashtag. Various gifts will be given to the students who share their experiences and feelings with the RotamTürkiye hashtag.
