A total of 15 faculty members from Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) have been named in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists List,” compiled in collaboration between Stanford University and Netherlands-based Elsevier. The list evaluates researchers in two categories: Annual Scientific Impact and Career-Long Scientific Impact.
OMU is proud to have 12 scientists featured in the Annual Impact list, and 10 scientists in the Career-Long Impact list. Notably, 7 academics were recognized in both categories, marking a significant achievement for the institution.
The ranking is based on objective criteria such as the number of high-quality publications, citations, patents, h-index, hm-index, standardized citation scores, and citations based on author order. Among 236,313 researchers evaluated worldwide, 1,564 academics from Türkiye were included in the list.
