Collaboration Between Malaysia's Leading Research University UPM and OMU

An online meeting with broad participation was held between Malaysia's leading research university in agriculture and engineering, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), within the scope of the cooperation agreement to be signed where possible areas of cooperation were discussed.

As for the representatives of UPM, the meeting was attended by Director Prof. Dr. Suhaimi Ab Rahman, Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Hasfalina Che Man, Head Ms. Noraihan Noordin, Head of Global Engagement Section and Mevlana and Erasmus Coordinator Ida Suhaila Md Tahir, Head of Mobility Section Nadia Zawani Hussin from the Putra International Centre; Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd. Khair b. Hassan, Academic Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Noor Izzri Abdul Wahab, Head of Control Unit Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asnor Juraiza Ishak, Head of Microelectronic Assoc. Dr. Nasri b. Sulaiman from the Faculty of Engineering; and Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Azura Adam, Deputy Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juwaidah Sharifuddin and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natrah Fatin Mohd Ikhsan and Ms. Shaerin Azlin Ab. Rahman of the Faculty of Agriculture. Representing OMU, Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Said Kurşunoğlu, Vice-Head and Erasmus Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Yaman, Birol Kurt and Tolga Arslan from the International Relations Office; Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Sami Yamak (IRO Vic-Head) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Kaya from the Faculty of Agriculture; and as the coordinator of the agreement to be signed, Dr. Serap Karagöl from the Faculty of Engineering attended the meeting.

At the meeting, which took place in a very productive and comprehensive flow, parties decided to strengthen relations and sign an agreement to include joint research and master's programs and exchange programs in the fields of agriculture and engineering and medicine. Parties expect relevant units of OMU and UPM to come together online and face to face in the upcoming period and take partnership decisions in many areas.
