OMU Connects with the International Education Community at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow

Represented at the Study in Türkiye Pavilion, OMU is meeting universities and education organizations from around the world to explore new opportunities for mobility, joint programs, research collaboration, and strategic partnerships.

GLASGOW – Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) is taking part in the 36th EAIE Conference and Exhibition, one of Europe’s leading gatherings for international higher education.

Held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026, the event is bringing together more than 7,000 international education professionals.

OMU Represented at the Study in Türkiye Pavilion

At the exhibition, which brings together higher education institutions and education organizations from around the world, OMU is represented at the Study in Türkiye Pavilion, helping showcase Türkiye’s higher education opportunities to an international audience.

With more than 1,200 organizations represented across over 250 exhibition stands, the event provides OMU with an opportunity to present its academic programs, research capacity, opportunities for international students, and campus life to visitors from across the global higher education sector.

OMU Delegation Holds International Partnership Meetings

The OMU delegation is led by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın and includes Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, Head of the International Relations Office Dr. Ahmet Aycan, and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tütüncü.

From the first day of the event, the delegation has been meeting representatives of universities from different countries to explore new opportunities for student and staff mobility agreements, joint academic programs, international research projects, and strategic academic partnerships.

Exploring the Future of International Education

Organized under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution,” EAIE 2026 features more than 240 sessions and activities, including workshops, interactive meetings, and extensive networking opportunities.

The program addresses a broad range of topics, including internationalization strategies, education and research partnerships, current mobility programs, and international funding opportunities.

Through its meetings and networking activities throughout the event, the OMU delegation aims to strengthen the University’s international visibility, further develop existing partnerships, and create new areas of cooperation with higher education institutions across different regions of the world.
