OMU Highlights Accessible Campus Services in University Admissions Podcast

The latest episode of the University Admissions Special Podcast produced by the Corporate Communications Office of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) focused on the University's services for students with disabilities and its efforts to provide an accessible and inclusive campus environment.

Hosted by Burcu Düzgün Çoban, the episode featured Dr. Uygar Bayrakdar, Academic Coordinator of the Disabled Student Unit at the Rectorate, as the guest.

Support from Enrollment to Academic Life

During the program, Dr. Bayrakdar provided information about the work of the Disabled Student Unit and the support mechanisms available to students beginning their studies at OMU.

The discussion covered individualized accommodations provided throughout university life, from enrollment procedures to arrangements for courses and examinations, as well as the accessible facilities and services available across the campus.

Supporting Participation in Campus Life

The episode also explored initiatives designed to support the participation of students with disabilities in social, cultural, and sporting activities. Questions frequently raised by prospective students and their families were addressed alongside OMU’s broader approach to inclusive education and equal access to university life.
