2026 YKS Results: 93% of OMU Faculty Programs and 77% of Vocational School Programs Rank in Top 20

Among Turkish public universities, 81 of OMU’s 87 faculty programs and 63 of its 81 vocational school programs ranked among the top 20 by minimum admission score.

According to the placement results of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), Türkiye’s national university entrance examination, a large majority of programs at Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) ranked among the top 20 at Turkish public universities based on minimum admission scores.

The results show that 81 of OMU’s 87 faculty programs, approximately 93 percent, and 63 of its 81 vocational school programs, approximately 77 percent, placed within the top 20 in their respective fields among public universities.

41 Faculty Programs Rank in Top 10, 81 in Top 20

According to the 2026 YKS placement results, 41 of the 87 programs offered by OMU’s faculties ranked among the top 10 at public universities based on minimum admission scores.

A total of 81 faculty programs ranked within the top 20, representing approximately 93 percent of all faculty programs included in the comparison.

The figures indicate that the overwhelming majority of OMU’s faculty programs occupy positions within the top 20 among their counterparts at Turkish public universities.

45 Vocational School Programs Rank in Top 10

OMU’s vocational schools also recorded strong results in the 2026 placement rankings.

Of the 81 departments and programs offered by the University’s vocational schools, 45 ranked among the top 10 at public universities based on minimum admission scores, while 63 ranked within the top 20.

As a result, approximately 77 percent of OMU’s vocational school departments and programs were positioned within the top 20 among their counterparts at public universities.

2026 Placement Results Reflect Strong Preference for OMU Programs

The 2026 YKS placement results also provide an indication of prospective students’ interest in the range of undergraduate and associate degree programs offered by OMU.

The large number of faculty and vocational school programs appearing among the top 10 and top 20 by minimum admission score reflects the strong demand for a broad range of educational opportunities at the University.
