Winners crowned at OMU’s 39th Traditional Intra-University Sports Festival

The 39th edition of Ondokuz Mayıs University’s (OMU) Traditional Intra-University Sports Festival, organized by the Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS), concluded with an awards ceremony. Bringing together academic and administrative staff as well as students through the unifying power of sport, the event culminated with the presentation of trophies to the winning teams by OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın at the OMU Life Center.

The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz and Prof. Dr. Alper Kesten, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Korunur Engiz, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Orhan Dengiz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Yıldıray Topçu, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Kaan Gündüz, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Esra Pancar Yüksel, Head of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Lecturer Selman Aslan, as well as academic and administrative staff and students.

As part of the festival, teams competed in football, volleyball, and basketball. The final rankings were as follows:

Women’s Student Volleyball Tournament

3. Samsun Vocational School

Trophies were presented to the teams that achieved podium finishes during the ceremony. Strengthening the culture of unity, solidarity, and teamwork across the university community, the sports festival concluded with a group photograph.
