OMU and Uzbekistan’s UMFT establish academic partnership at Turkic world summit

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) has taken an important step toward strengthening its international academic collaborations.

Within the scope of the “Turkic World Urbanism Summit” hosted by OMU, an academic cooperation protocol was signed with the University of Management and Future Technologies (UMFT), one of the leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

The protocol signed between the two universities covers student and academic staff exchange, joint scientific studies, and the enhancement of cultural interaction. The agreement is expected to contribute to further strengthening the academic ties between Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

The cooperation protocol was signed by University of Management and Future Technologies Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov and OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın.

Strengthening higher education cooperation in the Turkic world

The parties emphasized that the agreement will provide new academic opportunities for both universities and will further advance cooperation in higher education across the Turkic world. This step, taken within the scope of the summit, is expected to create an important foundation for the development of joint projects between universities and the expansion of international academic networks.
