Research Assistant Feyza Keskin Büyükbudak’s Project Receives TÜBİTAK 1002-A Support

A project led by Research Assistant Feyza Keskin Büyükbudak of the Department of Histology and Embryology at Ondokuz Mayıs University’s (OMU) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Programme.

The project, titled “Investigation of the Effects of Moderate-Intensity Exercise on Reproductive System Changes Caused by Cromolyn Sodium-Induced Mast Cell Stabilisation in Female Rats,” aims to determine whether moderate-intensity exercise can have protective or restorative effects against potential changes in the female reproductive system associated with the use of cromolyn sodium, a mast cell stabiliser.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğrul Ertuğrul of OMU’s Department of Histology and Embryology serves as the project adviser, while Dr. Nazife Ülker Ertuğrul of the Department of Physiology at Samsun University’s Faculty of Medicine contributes as a researcher.

The findings are expected to clarify the potential therapeutic role of moderate-intensity exercise in female reproductive system disorders associated with mast cell stabilisation.
