Chinghiz Aitmatov, (12 December 1928 - 10 June 2008) will be commemorated in his 90th birthday with the “Chinghiz Aitmatov is in Samsun at His 90th Birthday” workshop organized with the cooperation of Ondokuz Mayıs University, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, and Kyrgyzstan Manas University.
Roza Aytmatova, sister of Chinghiz Aitmatov, will be the guest of honor of the program which will be conducted in four sessions at the OMU Congress and Culture Centre in 14-15 December 2017.
