“April 23 Chess Tournament” was organized with broad participation of chess players from Samsun and other cities within the scope of April 23 Activities through the cooperation of OMU Foundation College and Chess Federation and the contribution of OMU Foundation. Both chess players and the parents of students showed great interest in the tournament. 

The players and their families thanked OMU Foundation College by stating that they had great time for two days, that the organization was perfect and flawless, and that they were pleased with the hospitality.

Chairman of the Executive Board of OMU Foundation Prof. Dr. İsmet Boz honored the cup ceremony, and he remarked in his speech that OMU Foundation College gives importance to such organizations and sportive activities, and that such activities will be increasingly organized in the future.

At the end of the tournament, all players received certificates of participation. The players ranking in high degrees were awarded with cups in 6 categories, medals, certificates of achievement and various presents.
