OMU ranks in QS Europe 2026, reinforcing global academic standing

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) continues to strengthen its international visibility, as confirmed by the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, announced by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), one of the world’s most respected higher education ranking bodies.

In QS’s Europe-wide evaluation, OMU was placed in the 701–900 band in the European University Rankings, while also ranking 79th in the Western Asia region.

Sustainability and global engagement stand out

Within the scope of the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026, Ondokuz Mayıs University was evaluated in the 1401–1500 band, continuing to strengthen its international presence in the areas of sustainability, global engagement, and research performance.

QS indicators reveal that OMU has demonstrated steady progress in recent years, particularly in the fields of internationalisation and academic performance. In this context, the university’s advancements in the following areas were reflected as key indicators in the QS assessments:
