With Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) as its main stakeholder, Samsun Teknopark continues to serve as a major hub within the Black Sea Region’s technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem, thanks to its R&D- and innovation-oriented structure.

A total of 141 companies and entrepreneurs, operating in a wide range of fields—from software and information technologies to medical health technologies, machinery and equipment, and agricultural technologies—are conducting their activities within Samsun Teknopark.

395 R&D projects completed, 181 projects ongoing

Through the projects they develop, companies generate high added value for the regional economy. To date, 395 R&D projects have been completed at the Teknopark, while 181 projects are currently ongoing. Projects carried out in areas such as health technologies, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing technologies are producing innovative products and solutions.

Entrepreneurship offices established to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem support the realization of early-stage business ideas. Thanks to this structure, numerous innovative initiatives are integrated into the technology ecosystem every year.

Samsun Teknopark companies also contribute to regional exports by expanding into international markets with the products and technologies they develop. It is stated that companies operating particularly in the software, medical, and machinery sectors have reached a globally competitive level.

More than one thousand qualified R&D personnel are employed within the Teknopark. This human capital significantly enhances both the technology production capacity of the region and the quality of its skilled workforce.
