The Akıncılar-Ata Team, consisting of students from Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), achieved remarkable success at TEKNOFEST 2025 by securing second place in Turkey in the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Competition with a total score of 210.60 points.
Organized by ASELSAN, the UGV Competition attracted more than 1,000 teams from across the country. Out of these, 28 teams advanced to the finals and competed for top honors.
The final stage of the competition took place at the Namık Kemal University Stadium in Tekirdağ, with nearly 300 students participating. OMU was proudly represented in this prestigious event by three teams:
• Akıncılar-Ata Team
• OMÜ UGV Team, mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cengiz Tepe
• AGRI-TECHNY Team, mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Mutlu Aydın
Standing out among hundreds of teams nationwide, the Akıncılar-Ata Team’s achievement brought great pride to the university. OMU's other finalist teams also made significant contributions with their strong performances.
