Dr. Huriye Demir Kabaş, a faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), has been granted support for her project proposal submitted to the call program aimed at supporting research and development (R&D) projects by the Presidency of Türkiye Health Institutes (TÜSEB).

The project led by Kabaş, under the TÜSEB 2023-A4-03 call code titled 'Preparation and Characterization of Oral Dissolving Film Formulations Containing Antihypertensive Lerkanidipine by Electrospinning Method,' includes researchers Prof. Dr. Selma Şahin and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğba Gülsün İnal from Hacettepe University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat İnal from Kırıkkale University.

The study aims to develop a simpler and more cost-effective treatment for hypertension by preparing mouth-dissolving formulations with a nanofiber structure, compared to dosage forms used in other treatment methods.

OMU congratulates our academician and the project team and wishes them continued success.
