FISU's Fourth Day Stages The Finals of Wushu and The Opening of Muay Thai

On the fourth day of the FISU University World Cup Combat Sports, the events continued with the women's Jianshu, men's and women's Nanquan, men's Gunshu finals, Sanda men's and women's finals, and Muay Thai qualifying competitions.

The Wushu finals started with the women's Jianshu. Hui Yu Lydia Sham from Hong Kong won the first gold medal in the competition. In the men's and women's Nanquan finals, Malaysian Wai Leong Calvin won the men's finals, while Hong Kong athlete Po Yan Lau won the women's. In the men's Gunshu final, Cheong Wan Tan grabbed the gold medal. FISU Executive Committee Member Gabriel Kothofa was among those who followed the match, and he followed the matches with great interest and enthusiasm.

Muay Thai fights, which started today at FISU, met with the audience at Ilkadım Archery and Sports Hall. A total of 28 athletes competed in the ring. 11 athletes are from students from Türkiye. Women's 51 kilos Tuğbanur Kıvrak, 54 kilos Ezgi Keleş, men 57 kilos Samet Kartal, men's 63.5 kilos Alperen Avcı, women 63.6 kilos Sultan Ünal, men's 67 kilos Kubilay Tarhan, men's 75 kilos Halil Aslanbaş and men's +91 kilos Muammer Can Şahin from Türkiye; Vladyslav Hryhoriev from Ukraine at men's 75 kg; Ahmad Halal from Palestine at men's 86 kg; Ameer Amle from Palestine at men's 63.5 kg;  Mohamad Mardi from United Arab Emirates at men's 67 kg; Artiom Lvadar from Moldavia at men's 81 kg; and Melvin Saint Pierre from France advanced for the next round.

In Sanda, the Wushu sub-category that reached the final stage, Turkey representatives 52 kg. Taner Kalkan, 60 kg Abdullah Ertaş, 70 kg Nusret Kayhan Altunkaya, and 80 kg Yunus Emre Batan were awarded the silver medal. In the women's final, Türkiye's Hayriye Hançer Türksoy in 48 kilos, Tharisa Dea Florentina from Indonesia in 52 kilos, and Mohana Rahimi from Iran in 60 kilos were the names that took the gold medal to their country.
