OMU and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin Sign Bilateral Cooperation Agreement

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) has established another international partnership during the 36th EAIE Conference and Exhibition (EAIE 2026) in Glasgow, Scotland.

Following bilateral meetings held during the event, OMU signed a cooperation agreement with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), one of Malaysia’s prominent higher education institutions.

The agreement was signed on behalf of OMU by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın and on behalf of UniSZA by Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shukor Abd Rezzak.

The signing ceremony was attended by OMU Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, Head of the International Relations Office Dr. Ahmet Aycan, and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tütüncü. Prof. Dr. Shukor Abd Rezzak was accompanied by representatives of UniSZA’s international relations administration.

The agreement aims to build stronger academic and scientific ties between the two universities.

Planned areas of cooperation include student and academic staff exchange programs, joint research projects, scientific meetings, and the development of dual-degree programs, as well as other forms of academic collaboration.

Through the agreement, OMU and UniSZA aim to take concrete steps toward expanding sustainable institutional cooperation between Türkiye and Malaysia.
