Following meetings held during the 36th EAIE Conference and Exhibition (EAIE 2026) in Glasgow, OMU signed a cooperation agreement with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), one of Malaysia’s well-established higher education institutions.

The agreement was signed by OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın and UPSI Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramlee Ismail. It represents an important step toward placing academic relations between the two universities on a more systematic and sustainable footing.

The signing ceremony was attended by OMU Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, Head of the International Relations Office Dr. Ahmet Aycan, and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Assoc. Under the agreement, the two universities aim to develop new links between their academic units and expand opportunities for reciprocal mobility.

Planned areas of cooperation include student and academic staff exchanges, joint research, scientific meetings, academic events, and international projects, alongside other forms of institutional collaboration.
