Rector Aydın Meets with Academic and Administrative Staff to Exchange Ideas
Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) held its "Your Voice, Our Shared Solution" consultation program, providing academic and administrative staff with the opportunity to share their views, suggestions, and evaluations directly with the university administration.
Organized with a commitment to consultation and collective wisdom, the meeting brought together OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın and university staff to discuss the institution's current activities while exchanging ideas on future goals and projects.
The program, held at the Atatürk Congress and Culture Center, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın; Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alper Kesten, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Pınar Sümer, and Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz; Secretary General Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar; Rector's Advisors Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aras, Prof. Dr. Serkan Şen, Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Korunur Engiz; as well as academic and administrative staff.
Collective Wisdom and Participatory Governance Took Center Stage
In the opening speeches, speakers emphasized the importance of the views and contributions of academic and administrative staff to the ongoing development of Ondokuz Mayıs University. It was noted that advancing the university depends on thinking together, strengthening collective wisdom, and embracing a solution-oriented and participatory management approach.
During the opening session, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz presented an overview of the university's activities and achievements during the previous period.
Academics Recognized for Q1 Publication Success
As part of the program, OMU academics whose research had been published in Q1 journals, representing the highest quartile of international scientific journals, were congratulated for their achievements.
It was emphasized that their scholarly contributions significantly enhance the university's international visibility, and wishes were expressed for their continued success.
Questions Addressed Directly to the University Administration
The second part of the program featured a question-and-answer session chaired by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın.
During the session, academic and administrative staff had the opportunity to present their opinions, suggestions, and questions directly to the university's senior management regarding education, research, administration, and institutional development.
It was announced that all recommendations and evaluations raised during the meeting would be documented. In addition, feedback submitted through a QR code shared at the end of the program would be reviewed by the relevant administrative units and followed up accordingly.
The program concluded after participants shared their views and suggestions.
