OMU and University of Petroșani formalize Erasmus and cooperation agreement in Hong Kong
HONG KONG - Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) signed another cooperation agreement at the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition (APAIE 2026), one of the most prestigious events in the global higher education arena, held in Hong Kong between 23–27 February. In line with its internationalization objectives, OMU concluded a Bilateral Cooperation and Erasmus Agreement with the University of Petroșani from Romania.
The agreement was signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın on behalf of OMU and Rector Prof. Dr. Sorin Mihai Radu on behalf of the University of Petroșani. The agreement aims to establish academic and scientific bridges between the two institutions.
Present at the signing ceremony from the OMU delegation were Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alper Kesten, Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, Head of the International Relations Office Dr. Lecturer Ahmet Aycan, and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tütüncü. From the University of Petroșani, Rector Prof. Dr. Sorin Mihai Radu was accompanied by Director of the International Relations Office Dr. Oana Ravas.
Within the scope of the agreement, concrete steps are planned in areas such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint research projects, and the organization of scientific meetings.
