OMU student swimmer Berat Abdik returns from national team trials with nine medals
At the Para Swimming and Deaf Swimming Individual National Team Selection Competitions organized by the Turkish Swimming Federation (TYF) in Antalya, Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sports Sciences student Berat Abdik achieved a remarkable success by winning a total of nine medals in the deaf category.
Competing in the 100 and 200 meters backstroke, 400 meters individual medley, and 50 meters breaststroke events, Abdik secured four Turkish championship titles. The successful athlete also placed second in the 100 meters breaststroke and 50 meters backstroke events, while earning third place in the 50 meters freestyle and 200 meters individual medley races. Abdik finished fourth in the 100 meters freestyle event.
