Rector Aydın visits booths at TEKNOFEST Southeast Anatolia

OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın met with student project teams, visited university and institutional booths, and reviewed technology and innovation projects at the festival in Şanlıurfa.

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın attended TEKNOFEST Southeast Anatolia, held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport as part of Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative vision.

During the festival, which continues to attract strong participation and encourages young people to engage with science, technology, and innovation, Rector Aydın visited the OMU booth as well as booths representing other universities and organizations.

She received information about ongoing initiatives and projects developed by participating institutions and teams.

Rector Aydın reviews projects developed by OMU students

At the OMU booth, Rector Aydın met with students and project teams and examined projects developed by University students.

She spoke with the teams and received detailed information about their work, congratulating the students on their efforts in technology-oriented development, project design, and competition processes.

Aydın emphasized that TEKNOFEST is not only an event where technology competitions are held, but also an important initiative that encourages young people to pursue science and technology and raises awareness of the development of domestic and national technologies.

Rector Aydın visits TÜME Foundation and HAVELSAN

As part of her TEKNOFEST visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın met with Abdulkadir Karagöz, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Agricultural Technologies Cluster (TÜME) Foundation, Board Member Sinan Yavuz, and young participants at the TÜME area.

Rector Aydın and the accompanying delegation later visited HAVELSAN.

OMU booth draws strong interest from technology enthusiasts

Throughout the festival, the OMU booth also welcomed numerous university administrators, academics, representatives from the private sector and the technology ecosystem, as well as technology enthusiasts.

Visitors received information about OMU’s work in science, technology, and innovation.

Rector Aydın was accompanied during her visit to TEKNOFEST Southeast Anatolia by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz and Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Korunur Engiz.
