Samsun hosted the Gala of TRT 41st 23 April International Children’s Festival organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival to Samsun on May 19, 1919 in order to initiate the War of Independence.

The guest children from 40 countries exhibited their traditional dances in traditional clothes within the scope of the performance organized in Yaşar Doğu Sports Hall. The Turkish team's show was highly appreciated by the audience. Guest children completing their activities in Samsun performed their shows in Ankara on April 22-23.

TRT 41st 23 April International Children’s Festival held in Yaşar Doğu Sports Hall welcomed Osman Kaymak, Governor of Samsun, Çiğdem Karaaslan, Deputy of Samsun and Vice President of Justice and Development Party, Orhan Kırcalı, Deputy of Samsun, Mustafa Demir, Mayor of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, Prof. Sait Bilgiç, Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), Samsun protocol and citizens together with their children.
