Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Continuing Education Center (OMUSEM) held a seminar themed “Contemporary Protective Approaches in Pediatric Dentistry” within the scope of Dentistry Week.

During the seminar given by OMU Faculty of Dentistry academic staff Prof. Dr. Emine Şen Tunç in the seminar hall of Faculty of Dentistry approaches to preserve periodontal diseases have been discussed under 3 main titles.

Contemporary information about approaches to reduce oral pathogens, chemical plaque control and decay vaccines assessment have been shared under the first title; contemporary information about approaches to increase the teeth resistance against decay and reparation capacity and about especially flour and contemporary agents alternative to flour such as CPP-ACP in the second title; and diet recommendations and sugar variables under the last title.
