Second term students graduated from the School of Civil Aviation. 45 students were happy to graduate in the ceremony held in the Conference Hall of the School situated at the Ballıca Campus.

Vice Rector and Director of the School Prof. Dr. Ferşat Kolbakır, 19 Mayıs District Governor Abdullah Şen, 19 Mayıs Mayor Osman Topaloğlu, Samsun Airport Director Hamit Anıl, Çelebi Incorporated Company Samsun Director Bünyamin Kaya, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering Faculty Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Arif Gönülol, academicians and families attended the ceremony.

Top ranking student of the term Seyfettin Urhan delivered the opening speech. Urhan thanked his family and academicians for their efforts. After his speech, the civil aviation company executives took the floor. Çelebi Incorporated Company Samsun Director Bünyamin Kaya stated that their contribution to the School will increasingly continue in 2017. Samsun Airport Director Hamit Anıl said “You youngsters joining us will add us strength and honor.”

Vice Rector and Director of the School Prof. Dr. Ferşat Kolbakır stated that the Civial Aviation was not initiated for diploma but the result of the love for aviation and said that they wished to train staff for the fast-growing aviation sector in the world and Turkey and contribute to the development of the sector. Kolbakır said “We already planted the seed. The seed became a sapling. A state emerges when we will become trees and collect its fruits.” Kolbakır ended his words thanking to everyone from a to z who had contributed to the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, 19 Mayıs Mayor Osman Topaloğlu spoke of the works and studies they had carried out to establish the school and congratulated the graduates and their families who came from other cities and gathered to witness this happy day of their children.

After the speeches, the top ranking student of the school Seyfettin Urhan received his certificate of achievement from 19 Mayıs District Governor Abdullah Şen, second ranking Abdullah Tirgil from 19 Mayıs Mayor Osman Topaloğlu and third ranking Oben Yücel from Vice Rector Ferşat Kolbakır. Mayor Osman Topaloğlu also presented gifts to first, second and third ranking students.

The students received their graduation certificates from the hands of academicians and went down to the garden of the School where the ceremony ended with the throwing of caps to the air.
