The 2016 graduates of Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sport Sciences received their graduation certificates at the ceremony held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the faculty.

320 students graduated at the ceremony. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevilhan Mennan, Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sport Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ayyıldız, Faculty of Science and Letters Dean Prof. Dr. Recep Tapramaz, academicians and families attended the ceremony.

Entering the hall with the announcement of their names, students did not forget their deceased friend. Students entered the hall with a banner with the photo of their friends on it saying “We have not forgotten you, you are in our heart”.

Students colored the ceremony up with dances as usual. The dances organized by students won recognition from the audience. Vice Rector Sevilhan Mennan rewarded the dancers with thank letters.

Dean Mustafa Ayyıldız delivered the opening speech of the ceremony. Thanking the families and lecturers Ayyıldız said “Dear students, from this day on you will witness a different face of life. You should carry on following academic developments, reading and improving yourselves.”

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Rector Sevilhan Mennan said “I hope all of you reach where they dreamt themselves to be. Good luck and have a long life”.

Students received their graduation certificates after the speeches. Top ranking students were also presented plaques. This year, Nida Gencer Özkan ranked 1^st, Esin Darıcı 2^nd, Mevlüt İnler 3^rd at the Sport Sciences Faculty.

The ceremony ended with students, who pledged loyalty to the teaching profession, throwing their caps into the air.
