Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Vocational School of Health Services and Life-giving Hands Paramedic Students Society co-organized the ‘Health Café 19-19’ event as part of the celebratory events for the 100th year of the Turkish War of Independence.

As part of the events, a photo gallery that exhibits the developments in the healthcare field is held at the OMU Student Centre.

Visitors had the chance to have their height and weight measured and their body-mass index calculated during the event. In this context, students distributed the leaflets they prepared on healthy nutrition and obesity and raised awareness on the subject.

Students who have organized the event also gave information to visitors on common health problems that need first aid such as wounds, bleeding, bite and sting wounds.
