Asst. Prof. Fidan Tonza, academic member of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Ceramic and Glass, holds a ceramic and installation exhibition entitled “Gördüğüm” (What I See).

Academicians, students, and invitees attended the opening of the exhibition held at the Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery.

“I wanted to draw attention to increasing losses in occupational accidents”

Stating that she held the auditory exhibition accompanied by video display to draw attention to occupational health and safety; Tonza said the following: “I wanted to draw attention to increasing losses in occupational accidents.  I also used audio and visuals which evoke work and labour. There are hundreds of ceramic industrial gloves which were created with a different arrangement. I believe I drew the attention of the guests to this subject.”

Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Metin Eker noted that the exhibition is a very successful work and said “I would like to thank our member Fidan for the sensitivity she has shown towards occupational accidents.”

The exhibition can be visited for 10 days at the Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery.
