The Kızılırmak Delta Nature School Graduates Its Fifth Term Students

“Nature School In the Light of Science at Kızılırmak Delta” project, which is organized by OMU and supported by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), graduated its fifth term students.

The Kızılırmak Delta Nature School, which provides training per annum since 2010, was also held this year between 1 – 10 September. 28 students, and teachers coming from 17 different universities received their diplomas at the ceremony held in Kızılırmak Delta Bird Paradise Visitor Centre. Students, instructors, and academicians have attended the ceremony.

13 instructors, 10 guides, 3 specialists, and 1 project coordinator have participated in the “Nature School In the Light of Science at Kızılırmak Delta” project. Panel, poster, presentation, and art exhibition were all among the assignments of the project students. Both theoretical, and applied training was given at the school where ecology based holistic view is given, the language of the nature is taught, and the sound of the nature is exposed to the participants. The students found the chance to thoroughly cover and explore the delta.

In addition, trainings such as bird watching, bird photography, fish species found at the lakes of Kızılırmak Delta, first aid, The Habitat of Kızılırmak Delta, etc. were given to the students during the 10 day long project.
