Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), which is in cooperation with other universities, has opened its computer laboratory, internet infrastructure, and library service to all university students at its three campuses in Samsun and its districts. Thanks to the cooperation between universities, the students of OMU living in other cities have also got an opportunity to benefit from the advantages provided by the universities in their cities.
Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) provides physical and technological facilities to all university students having difficulties in accessing online education nowadays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The computer laboratories of Central Library in the Kurupelit Campus, the Faculty of Tourism which is located in Bafra District of Samsun, and Çarşamba Commodity Exchange Vocational School have been made available to all university students without Internet access and technical facilities within the scope of Covid-19 pandemic measures to ensure effective and continuous participation for students during online learning. The students of OMU will be able to take the advantage of opportunities provided by the universities in their own cities.
Offering a range of facilities for all university students, OMU also cooperated with other universities for its students. As part of the proposal of the Council of Higher Education at the end of the last term “cooperation with other universities in the scope of producing solutions for students who do not have access to digital media", OMU made great attempts to provide its students with technological and digital opportunities and make it easy in this regard by contacting with universities all over the country. It also responded positively to the requests from other universities in this aspect.
